Latest News29 October 2005Just 10 days to go before SocialSource 2005...Programme for SocialSource 2005A programme is in place at EventProgramme, featuring introductions for those who have had no hands-on contact with Free/Open Source Software (F/OSS), case studies, and details of projects going on within the sector using F/OSS tools.AttendingThe event will be free to attend thanks to the support of the ICT Hub. However, we would appreciate a mail if you are intending to come, to get an idea of numbers for the day, especially as we're hoping to provide lunch. See the event's homepage for more details - programme details and the location are still being finalised. The day will aim to replicate the look, feel and atmosphere of last year's event, and build on the evident enthusiasm generated by the day. Attendees from all levels of involvement with Open Source are welcome (e.g. from those who don't even know what it is, to those already actively supporting implementations). The format will again feature plain-english talks and case studies from those based in the sector, whilst also showing the richness of the Open Source community with participants from support companies, the education sector and the National Computing Centre.
