This page gives more details for those at the event, either as attendees, or speakers.
Attendees
Please bear in mind that there is a great diversity of organisations with the voluntary/non-profit sector, and attendees will be from different skillsets. We would therefore ask you to approach the day in the spirit of openness and cooperation that it has so far enjoyed.
Speakers
This is a rough guide to structures of talks for the session on the day:
Length: maximum 25 min, including discussion/questions
Format: Please make talks as jargon-free/plain-language as possible, and include the following sections:
- introduction to yourself
- introduction to your organisation, if relevant
- summary of talk at the end
- key learning points
If your talk is a case study, or description of your organisation's experience, please follow a normal case-study format, also including:
- description of the situation/problem
- what alternatives were considered
- how alternatives were tested & evaluated
- how & why you came to the decision you did (implementing (or not?!) Open Source.
